He committed to the University of Kentucky and was outstanding in his lone season there. He pretty much swept all the Player of the Year awards while leading the Wildcats to the National Championship. He had 16 rebounds, six blocks, five assists and three steals in the championship win over Kansas. He captured the tournament's Most Outstanding Player award, the fourth freshman to earn that honor.
